Dr. Bayati Attends ASAPS Las Vegas Conference to Learn the Latest in Fat Grafting for Facial Rejuvenation

fat-grafting-facial-rejuvenationOur Newport Beach plastic surgeon, Dr. Semira Bayati, strives to always remain abreast of the latest advanced techniques in cosmetic surgery. In January, she attended The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) 2014 Aesthetic Symposium in Las Vegas, NV. The topic of the three-day conference was: Fat, Fillers, and Facts in Facial Rejuvenation.

At the conference, Dr. Bayati had the opportunity to learn more about how fat grafting, also known as fat injections or fat transfer, can now offer results similar to many surgical procedures for patients seeking non-invasive alternatives to treatments like browlift, upper and lower eyelid surgery, facelift, and other face and neck rejuvenation options.

Also, Dr. Bayati delved further into the differences and similarities of fat injections vs. dermal fillers for facial rejuvenation. Working similarly to fillers, fat transfer can enhance many areas of the face to add fullness to facial features and smooth out wrinkles with very long-lasting results.

In the fat grafting process, Dr. Bayati can remove excess fat from other parts of your body with liposuction, then inject these fat cells into the areas targeted for rejuvenation after they have been filtered and concentrated. Fat injections can enhance the lips, jawbone, chin, and other areas of the face. They can also be beneficial for adding fullness and contour to the buttocks, and they can be very helpful with smoothing the cosmetic results of implants placed during post-cancer breast reconstruction procedures. The benefits of fat grafting are expected to last for a long time due to this process maximizing the stem cells and increasing the longevity of the transferred fat grafts.

Dr. Bayati offers fat injections to help her patients achieve a natural-looking, youthful, and refreshed appearance. If you are interested in learning more about fat grafting, or if you would like to schedule a consultation, please contact us today.
